The Stallions of SilverWind
Breeding to preserve the rare and beautiful Winks Miniature bloodline.
In our desire to preserve this blood for the future, we have retained two of Revelation's best sons, and a great-nephew, to take us forward. Revelation is 29 in 2009, and enjoying his retirement.
SilverWind Rev's Classic Winks 1 (A) SilverWind Rev's Lil Jangles (R)
Jangles is, to our knowledge, the only breeding 100% Winks blooded stallion left. Sired by Winks Revelation and out of the late Winks Tabitha 1, he was the only foal she gave us, but what a foal!
We believe in letting a horse mature fully before asking it to breed or work, and therefore Jangles first foal crop is due in 2009. He excels in head, shoulder, and hip, and is perfect in leg and bite. His picture session last year was straight out of the pasture, and yes, he is fat...
Jangles is a rich mahogany silver bay pinto, and carries tobiano & splash characteristics. His lovely dark eyes are outlined in bright blue, and he stands at 30".
Vet checked in foal to Jangles for 2009:
HCM/Lowrey's What a Luv A/R
DBF's Fancy Face A
Roys Toy Snippets Delight A
DD Pretty Girl II R
SilverWind Rev's Lil Kernel (R)
Kernel is maturing into a breathtaking young stallion, and I will update with better pictures this spring/summer, as he has really come into himself this past year. He is a lovely silver smoky black, we think...however, he clearly has darker points in front above the socks, so may be a very sooty silver buckskin. He displays definite traits of creme, agouti, frame, splash, sabino, and tobiano. Kernel is 33.5"
Kernel is sired by Winks Revelation, and out of Ollie's Polly Pearl, a 75% Iowa's Little Kernel silver buckskin mare. Kernel is 87.5% Winks bloodlines. Late in '08 he climbed his fence and bred DD Pretty Girl II, so if I have a later foal out of her, it'll be Kernel's. Stallions...
I intend to hardship Kernel into AMHA in 2009, or, if we get his 22 yr old dam in foal to Jangles, I will just hardship her and then him as progeny. He will also be given his first mares in 2009, and I intend him to cover DD Pretty Girl II, Warners Midnight BuckorTwo, & SilverWind Song of the Redeemed for 2010 foals.
SilverWind Word in Due Season (A/R)
Available at Stud for 2009 season thru June-See Below

"Feanor" is maturing into more than I dared dream. He is sired by HCM War Paint's Stormbringer (Landry's War Paint x RLBS Indian Summer by X'Caliber's Little Navajo) and his dam is HCM/Lowrey's What a Luv (Choco's Little Specks Red Boy x Winks Rhema--Rhema is Revelation's full sister). This young stallion's pedigree is a Who's Who of Miniature Greatness...and it shows in what he is maturing into.
He should be homozygous for black, and stands only 27"! Exquisite head, large soft eyes, tiny tippy ears, wonderful neck and hip on him...I hope to get out and show him in 2009 in the senior stallion under 28" classes. He will be 4 yrs old, and I believe I will give him Roy's Toy Snippet's Delight after she foals...
Feanor has 3 professional trainers wanting to take him to Nationals, and I would like to send him *smile* So, in order to let him help pay his way and to keep him happy, we are offering him to outside mares for the fee of $250. He will be here thru June, mares would be requested to arrive early in April to be sure we have at least 2 heat cycles to work thru. LFG for attended birth, mare care to be negiotiated on a case by case basis (ie, I'm not trying to make money on mare care, and if you want to bring her food along to last her, then I'll work with you on that, but I'm also not trying to lose money, and feed/hay is expensive now, so I need to charge enough to cover what your girl eats)
